A shared vision connecting human wellbeing and the natural world
About our organisation

Human progress.
Nature in balance.

We are building an accountable, collaborative platform for inclusive development and environmental wellbeing across India.

Our foundation

Created for the change that cannot wait.

Human & Nature Welfare Organisation of India is a public charitable trust founded on a simple belief: human wellbeing and environmental wellbeing are inseparable.

India's most urgent challenges do not exist in isolation. Education affects livelihoods. Health affects opportunity. Climate risk affects every community differently. Meaningful solutions therefore need local understanding, responsible partnerships and patient implementation.

We are at an early stage of our journey. We do not present proposed initiatives as completed impact. Instead, we are building the governance, partnerships and programme foundations required to create work that can be measured, improved and trusted.

Our commitment

We will communicate what is planned, what is active and what has been achieved as three clearly different things.

01

Our mission

Enable people to thrive while helping nature recover.

To advance inclusive education, health, livelihoods and environmental action through community-aware programmes, capable partners and transparent systems.

02

Our vision

An India where progress includes everyone.

A future in which every person has the opportunity to live with dignity, and development strengthens rather than diminishes the natural world.

What guides us

Values that must survive every stage of growth.

These principles shape how we choose partners, design programmes and speak about our work.

01

Dignity

People are participants in change, never props for a campaign.

02

Integrity

We separate ambition from evidence and report both honestly.

03

Inclusion

We design for voices that are too often excluded from decisions.

04

Stewardship

Resources, relationships and nature deserve responsible care.

05

Collaboration

Complex challenges need many skills, sectors and perspectives.

06

Learning

We test, listen, measure and improve rather than defend assumptions.
