Need information another way? Email us with the page or content you need and the format that works best for you. We will make a reasonable effort to help.

1. Our commitment

Human & Nature Welfare Organisation of India wants people with different abilities, devices and ways of accessing the internet to be able to understand and use this website.

We treat accessibility as an ongoing practice. We will improve content, code and documents as the website grows and as barriers are identified.

2. Accessibility features currently included

  • A skip link that allows keyboard users to move directly to the main content.
  • Semantic headings, landmarks and descriptive page titles.
  • Alternative text for meaningful images and empty alternative text for decorative icons.
  • Keyboard-operable navigation, links and buttons.
  • Responsive layouts designed for mobile, tablet and desktop screens.
  • Colour contrast and readable type sizes aligned with the visual theme.
  • Visible focus behaviour and reduced-motion support where the device requests it.
  • Clear labels for external social and messaging links.

3. Standards and testing approach

We aim to follow relevant principles of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, including perceivable content, operable controls, understandable information and robust markup.

This statement is not a claim of formal certification or perfect conformance. Testing includes keyboard navigation, responsive layout checks, heading structure, image alternatives and common browser checks. Additional testing will be carried out as new functions are introduced.

Continuous improvement

Accessibility can be affected by content updates, third-party platforms and future documents. Feedback helps us prioritise real barriers.

4. Known limitations

Despite our efforts, some limitations may remain:

  • Third-party services such as WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn are controlled by their providers.
  • Future scanned records or historical documents may require additional work to become fully accessible.
  • Some representative images communicate context visually, although their essential purpose is described in alternative text.
  • Older browsers or unusual device combinations may not receive the intended presentation.

We will not knowingly use an inaccessible format as the only route to essential organisation information where a reasonable alternative can be provided.

5. Alternative formats and assistance

If you cannot access a page, link or future document, tell us what you were trying to use. Where reasonably possible, we can provide the same information in plain text, a simplified document or another accessible format.

Please include the page title or URL, the difficulty you experienced and your preferred method of contact. Do not include unnecessary sensitive personal information.

6. Feedback and support

Accessibility feedback is welcome. We will review reasonable reports and use them to improve the website. Response time may depend on the nature of the request and available capacity.
